This project began as a client-commissioned piece to use in a showroom.  While searching in Austin’s Habitat Restore, I came across something that looked like twin-sized headboards… and knew this would be a perfect starting point for my client’s needs!

After cleaning and painting these pieces, they looked a little drab, so I decided to incorporate a MCM-inspired trim element. With the addition of some tapered legs, these consoles are perfect.

One ended up in a boutique Austin shop and the other two in the home of my friend, Jenni, owner of Faulkner Homes.
